As we all know, the fall of an apple from a tree is due to the gravity of the Earth. There are several different views on the origin of gravity. In the classical viewpoint, any object with a mass (e.g., the Earth) may produce a gravitational (GR) field. The presence of another object (e.g. an apple) in the GR field will experience a GR force (i.e. the gravity). In the view of Albert Einstein, any object with a mass will distort the space-time. It is the curvature of the space-time that gives rise to gravity. Since larger mass causes greater distortion, heavier objects should exert stronger GR force.
